SAMANTHA REITZ, LMFT
Samantha is a trauma-focused therapist who utilizes EMDR to support clients through healing and recovery. She creates a safe, supportive space for clients to process trauma at their own pace, using evidence-based and attachment-focused approaches to reduce distress and build coping skills. She also provides Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy for OCD, helping clients reduce compulsions and develop balanced ways of functioning through a structured and compassionate approach.
Using DBT, Samantha helps clients manage complex emotions and relationships by building skills in emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance. She works collaboratively to foster insight, promote safety, and support meaningful change.
Samantha also supports clients facing life transitions, perfectionism, burnout, and high anxiety, offering a nonjudgmental space to build resilience and healthier coping strategies. Known for being direct, playful, and goal-focused, Samantha engages clients with warmth and clarity to help them achieve meaningful progress.
Samantha earned her Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Clinical Psychology from San Jose State University and holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychological Brain Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sociology from the University of California Santa Barbara.
